 "Nice" 2009-11-11

Crisp, pleasing photos with my E-410! Great things come in small packages; this mounted on my 410 body makes for a small walking around camera with all the benefits of an SLR!

"Price, Performance, Quality: the clear economic choice in Olympus extreme wide angles lenses" 2009-10-18
By J. Connelly (Boston, MA USA)
You can't beat this 9-18 mm lens for combining price, performance, and quality construction. Sure, the Olympus fisheye in the mid range and the ultrawide angle zoom in the top range are beautiful pieces of engineering and optics. But how often do you use a fisheye or an extreme wide angle lens to warrant the $1000 or more for either of these. Plus, this lens takes filters and the upper range lenses do not. So you loose some versatility there -- and, of course, if you scratch the front element on the more expensive lenses (as compared to even an expensive filter on this lens) you risk loosing your mind. At f/4.0-5.6, it's almost as bright at the most expensive wide angle zoom. Weather proofing is the major loss: but that's a reasonable trade-off.

 "Superb ultra wide zoom" 2009-09-12
By Denis de Gannes (Trinidad & Tobago W.I.)
Have the lens for about one month and I am completely satisfied. Very smooth operation, fast and accurate autofocus. Sharp clear images corner to corner even wide open.

"Didn't work well with my Panasonic G1" 2009-07-14
By Susan Peirce (Lyons, CO USA)
I am sure this is a great lens but it didn't work well with my Panasonic G1 with the adaptor. I wouldn't make a decision about using this with an OM camera based on my review. With the panasonic, it worked very slowly in focusing using AF and there was quite a bit of softness.
